This was in Martha Stewart Weddings back in 2004 and I have never forgotten it. What a great way to decorate the “get away” car in a CLASSY way; to truly honor the bride and groom.

2009 in review

We haven’t had a whole lot of changes in 2009, but we still have had a good year with some fun experiences:

Mason’s oldest sister, Amanda married Brady

My mom and I did a ton of weddings for our Proposals business (green was big last year!)

We fell in love with Lemon Curd. We made and ate a ton of it this year.

Our trip to Connecticut and New York

Ran my first 5K, I beat my goal time by almost 5 whole minutes!

Mason got a new calling: Ward Clerk

We found this...Walgamott family Bible in the museum at Stricker Ranch in Twin Falls, ID

Celebrated our 5 year anniversary in Jackson Hole

We fostered this dog, Matilda for about 2 months. It about ripped my heart out to give her back.

1 new nephew, Skyler (Brady and Amanda’s boy)

1 new niece, Evelyn (Paul and Megan’s little girl)

Chaz left on his mission to Johannesburg, South Africa

Courtney, Mason’s sister got her mission call to South Dakota

I decided to take up knitting. (I’ve been at it for a few months now. At this rate my scarf should be finished in about 5 years!)

I received the “Rising Star Award” for SMPS the marketing association I belong to.

I gained a new fascination and desire to learn about graphic design, page layouts, and using technology to make things beautiful so Mason bought us the Adobe Creative Suite CS4 as a family gift for Christmas.

Now I just need to learn how to use it!

Chocolate Cake

I was so exhausted last night as it had been a long, emotional, and busy week. I told Mason as we parted ways (he had meetings too), “I am so tired, all I want to do is sit in front of the fire and eat a great big piece of Chocolate cake!” I returned home just before 10 to see this (or similar to this, as I didn’t take a picture at the time) on my kitchen table.

I have the sweetest husband!
