The Roaring 20's

Twenty somethings…my prognosis: turmoil. We all seem to feel it. Nothings seems quite right. We have so much of our lives ahead of us and we are all trying to figure out how to make it work, where our priorities lie, what our true interests are, how to balance adulthood, and making decisions that could make or break the rest of our lives. Especially as women, we have so many avenues we could travel. It seems no matter which we pick, we tend to think the grass is greener on the other side.

I love it when people are real on their blogs and write about their thoughts, not just what they are doing. (although those posts are really fun too!) I like that it makes me think. It makes me reflect on my own life and helps me know that I am not the only one who sometimes feel lost, overwhelmed, or confused.

Maybe its just because my friends and I are living it right now, or maybe the 20’s truly are a tumultuous time. What are your thoughts? Any 20 something “survivor tips” floating around out there?

I love this post Anna. By the way it's been way too long since we have seen each other. I miss our monthly dates! I am right there with you, these are tough years. I remember a conference talk once, I dont remember who said it, but one of the Apostles called the 20's "the decade of decisision". The talk was all about the 20's and how important these years are. I will have to track down the talk. I get caught up in the "I will be happy when syndrome", it used to be, I will be happy when we gradute, now it's, I'll be happy when we Kevin has a career, or I'll be happy when we have children. I noticed that about myself a little while ago, so now I am working on being happy now! No matter what the situation is. Great post, and it got me thinking. I hope to see you soon!

Allow yourself to have a good cry every once in awhile. It's amazing what a good cry can do to cleanse you of all the stress! At least that's what works for me :) That, and a big bowl of ice cream.

This is weird, I know. But I stumbled upon your blog through a friend of mine who follows your blog. Anyway, I noticed you are head of marketing for an Architecture firm in SLC. My husband graduated in architecture from the U and we are currently living in the UK while I work on my MSc Global Marketing degree. I have to write a dissertation shortly and have been wanting to write something regarding architecture and marketing. However, because of my lack of industry experience I am looking from literature and people in the industry for any possible gaps that could be researched to help out the arch marketing industry. So, do you have any ideas or know of any topic that would be useful for you as a marketer in architecture to help gain business or to assist clients?
